In recent years a large part of the population of Delhi has demonstrated an increasing interest in employing homoeopathy and its benefits. To meet out the requirements of Delhihites, Govt. of Delhi is providing free of cost services to populace of Delhi. There are at present 80 homeopathic dispensaries in Delhi, most of thes are concentrated in the JJ Clusters and rural areas. The work of the dispensaries is being looked after by Chief Medical Officers (Homeopathy)/ Senior Medical Officers (Homeopathy)/ General Duty Medical Officer (Homeopathy), Pharmacist (Homeopathy) and Class-IV. Twenty Eight homoeopathic dispensaries were started in 1978. Patients of acute as well as chronic with varied complaints such as GIT disorders, respiratory diseases, fevers, skin diseases, viral infections, asthma and allergic disorders, joint disorders are being treated in these dispensaries. The number of patients availing this facility has increased from 8 lakh patients in 1997 to more than 16 lakh patients in 2008.Details of the dispensaries can be had from the Patient care section of our website
