South West District Orientation Programme under
Campaign on Homoeopathy for Healthy Mother & Happy Child

The campaign on Homoeopathy for Healthy Mother & Happy Child (MCH) was launched in South West district of Delhi by Mr. Mohan Lal, Director, ISM&H in the One day District Orientation Programme organized in the Sushrut hall of Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan, Kheda Dabar on 1/3/11 and presided over by Prof. C. Nayak (Former Director General, CCRH).and Mr. Banerjee, Project Director , Ch.BPACS, Dr. Nand Kishore ,APD, Ch.BPACS,Dr. N. Singh (Med supdt.) RTRM Hosp., & Dr. N. K. Singh (Med. Supdt.), Ch.BPACS were Guests of Honor. Dr R. K. Manchanda, Deputy Director (Homoeopathy) welcomed all the dignitaries and participants.
The workshop was attended by 105 medical practitioners, which included 25 allopathic doctors and 80 Homoeopathic and other AYUSH doctors from Govt., NGO’s and private sector. The objective of the workshop was to sensitize the diverse participants about the benefits of Homoeopathy in maternal & child health.
Prof. C. Nayak discussed the pivotal role of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) in the initiation and implementation of the MCH campaign and also highlighted the various scientific researches carried out globally and in India in the domain of mother and child care.
The inaugural session was followed by 2 scientific sessions.
In the first session:
- Dr R.K Manchanda talked about symbiosis of Homoeopathy and allopathy in Primary health care units. He also described the role of this campaign in public health and talked about using the AYUSH task force synergistically in NRHM/ DSHM with the aim of reducing maternal and child mortality together with modern system of medicine and also shed light on various grants provided by GOI for opening of AYUSH setup in allopathic hospitals.
In the second session:
- Dr. Lilavati Guru, Consultant Obstetrician from Orissa discussed about the role of Homoeopathy in Obstetric Care.
- Dr V.K Chauhan, Principal (SHMC), described the merits of homoeopathy in maternal care.
